I understand that going to a new salon can feel a little intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. Here’s some info to help make your first visit as seamless and comfortable as possible.

You'll receive an e-mail reminder 48 hours

before each visit with an option to confirm

or reschedule your visit, as well as a text message 24 hours before to confirm or reschedule, and then a friendly reminder 1 hour before your appointment.

A picture is worth a thousand words...

Before coming to your appointment, I suggest going to Pinterest, or even my Instagram for inspiration photos. Feel free to pick 1-2 images of colors/styles you like and even 1-2 of colors/styles you don't like.

Come as you typically style...

Whether you air dry your hair, do a full head of curls everyday, or a blow-dry style please come as you typically style your hair (no more than 3 day old hair.) It's best that I see how you wear it so I can place color strategically or help you with styling and product suggestions. 

Dress for comfort...

I am all about relaxation here at mane studio salon. I want you to feel 100% comfortable while getting your hair done. I am not a wham, bam, thank you ma'am type of stylist. I will do everything in my power to keep your hair as healthy as possible and sometimes that can result in a longer first appointment. My only request is no turtlenecks please, and the more plain a shirt is, the better.

1- There is plenty of parking in front of the building. Sola Salons is located between Woodlawn and Rock on the north side of 37th St., in Siena Plaza, between Hairy Sofa Pet Grooming and Napoli Italian Eatery.

2- Please arrive at least 3 minutes early so that you have time to go to the restroom and find my suite. (My suite is the second one on the left when entering the door pictured here.) 

3- If I am with another guest, there is a bench right outside of my studio that you can sit at,

our consultation is the most important part

 

Through our consultation, we will talk about your past, present, and future hair goals to ensure we create a plan for your ultimate hair dreams!

If you haven't already filled this out, please take a minute to complete my New Guest Pre-Consultation form, which will save time and make the in person consult as seamless as possible. I will store this form on file for you.

If you see me for color, extensions, cut or a little bit of everything... I have the perfect plan to help you look amazing between visits.

 

I can walk you through exactly what steps you'll need to take at home to execute the

perfect color and style between appointments.

the mane policies 

FUTURE APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY: In order to continue providing the best possible scheduling options to my guests, I am requiring a 24 hours' notice should you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation with me. Should you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, a $50 cancellation fee applies and will be due before a new appointment is scheduled. A no call no show will require the same before a new appointment can be made. I understand that things happen and can come up, I am a very understanding person so please let's keep communication open. I am usually willing to waive the fee, if it becomes a habit though, I will have to enforce.

PLEASE COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT SOLO: Due to limited space in my suite and that I am working with chemicals, sharp and hot tools, please arrive to your appointment without any kiddos or extra people. I love to spend your appointment time focused on you so that you can relax and have some much-deserved pampering.

SERVICE REDO & RETAIL RETURN POLICY: I strive to offer my guests the highest level of satisfaction. If you are having challenges with your cut or color, please let me know within 7 days of your visit and I'm happy to correct the issue with no additional charge. If we achieved the goal that we came to in our consultation, but you are having a change of heart please let me know and we can come up with a new game plan, we will also discuss if there will be an additional charge. Should you make a retail purchase that you are unsatisfied with, I will accept retail exchanges at full credit for 30 days from your initial purchase, as long as it's half full at least.

PHOTOS: I enjoy taking photos of your hair before, after and sometimes during your service. As a small business, I rely on these photos to help promote my work across different platforms. No worries, they don't have to include your face.

Please note: sometimes even if we do take pictures of your hair, the lighting in the hallway or salon may be off. Or upon looking at the picture a hair may be out of place, so I may not end up being able to use the photos that I took. Please don't think that I didn't like what we did, I promise you, it could be as simple as lighting issues, misplaced hair or I might be behind on posting pictures!
